Okay here's the final version of the Sigh picture. This is for my buddy Mallika's sketchbook.

I'm fairly happy with this. The scan's kinda crappy so i had to do a lot of fiddling with the pic in photoshop. Her face is a tad long for my taste and I'm still questioning wether or not i should have made the crosshatches in the bushes into solid blacks ...

o.o Wow, this looks wonderful!! I wish I could do something like this... but I think you should have don't the crosshatching in the bushes as solid black, just because they're no crosshatching and just solid black in the rest of the picture.

this si such a great drawing, i personally would have done the black fill ont he bushes like you suggested, keep the imagery the same, keep the flow, less distracting. but this piece is great.

you ever read any of adrian tomine's work? this really reminds me of his newer stuff. very cool

Thanks a lot for the comments. yeah i did end up doing a filled in version, but i've yet to upload it.

actually i don't think i've seen that artist's work, i'll go check it out. thanks again!

Wow, that's wicked harcore! Lol. But seriously, I really love that style. And for some reason I think the leaves are my favorite part. That, and her hair.

thanks so much! yeah i love to draw the leaves, it's really kind of a struggle to NOT draw them in every pic i do.
